Epec is looking for an experienced Functional Safety Manager who would be responsible for functional safety management processes, plans and coordination in selected projects in co-operation with project managers. We are looking for a permanent employee who will be situated in Seinäjoki, Tampere, Turku or Kuopio. For the right candidate, a hybrid or full remote position is also possible.

What kind of tasks?

Your key responsibilities will be planning the operational safety life cycle in defined projects and guiding development teams together with the project manager to ensure compliance. You manage the passage of hazard and risk analyzes of off- highway and commercial vehicles, actively participating in doing them. You act as a contact person between the client, the project team and various certification bodies in matters related to functional safety. You develop processes and operating methods related to the development of functional safety and product information security in cooperation with Epec's other functional safety experts and teams. You follow the development of standardization and technology in your area of responsibility.

What we expect from you?

We expect you to have several years of work experience as functional safety manager / specialist in electrical/electronic system engineering projects for automotive or non-road mobile machine OEMs. You should have skills to facilitate HaRa and FMEA workshops related to complex electrical/electronic systems and ability to work fluently in Finnish and in English. You should be used to communicate with internal and external stakeholders such as certification bodies, standardization organizations, customers and suppliers. We hope that you have deep understanding and hands-on experience about functional safety legislation and capability to support development teams to apply standards such as IEC 61508, ISO 26262 and ISO 13849. Previous knowledge about cyber security processes and methods according to IEC 62443 and ISO 27001 is an advantage.
