Head of Game Studio

Veikkaus TECH is looking for a creative and business orientated person with a can-do attitude to lead our Game Studio. Your main responsibility is to run Game Studio’s innovative game development portfolio and develop abilities of the studio to reach inspiring strategic goals. You will work in close co-operation with key commercial stakeholders of Veikkaus´ and its B2B-subsidiary Fennica Gaming. Co-developing games with 3rd party domestic and international game studios is significant part of your work. In this role you report to VP, Gaming Services.

We have a compact yet versatile Game Studio full of dedicated professionals who are passionate about the games and conscious about the social aspects of our work. There’s around ~50 of us and we are firm believers of team-centric development. Our teams work in a self-driven manner with agile development methods. The studio is looking at a very bright future with lots of interesting omnichannel game projects with new international markets too!

We except you to have

• Skill to transform long term strategic targets to concrete executable actions and follow through the implementation until a successful outcome
• Experience in leading game development and proven track of commercially successful project delivery
• Experience in cooperation with commercial organizations eg. product management, commercial operations, and sales and marketing in a matrix organization.
• Competence to lead the Game Studio with a growth attitude and coaching mindset. Taking good care of everyone on the team while keeping the targets and schedules.
• Business orientated and customer-centric mindset both in internal co-operation and when working with external stakeholders
• A self-starting, flexible and agile attitude, great problem solving skills
• Great English language and brilliant presentation skills, Finnish language is an advantage

• You get excited on trends in game technologies and data driven game development
• Experience in casino/betting/lottery industry
• Experience in international business and/or product development/product management
• Experience of international game development and localization
• Experience of organizational transformations
• Language skills
