Zadaa is now looking for a Lead Android Developer to join the team in Helsinki! In this position, you get to develop and maintain our whole Android application and take the full ownership of it.
Your main responsibility is developing the Android variant of the Zadaa application and making sure that our customers receive the best possible user experience when using the application. In this role, you get to participate in every step of the development process, from maintaining the existing code base to implementing new features and providing valuable feedback in design discussions. You will be working together with an experienced, low-hierarchy and committed mobile development team who will give you all the support you need - meaning you have full ownership and responsibility for the android app, yet you are not left alone. At Zadaa, we give you a lot of freedom over your work and results. Therefore, we are looking for a developer who is proactive, takes responsibility for their work and is not afraid to ask for support.
We expect you to have good command of Kotlin, but experience in Java is also beneficial. Most importantly, we hope you are passionate about clean and performant code and creating the best possible user experiences for the end-user. You have a strong interest in learning new things and putting them into practice. As an employee you are not afraid of expressing your ideas and thoughts. You have an eye for details and you appreciate high quality.
We are looking for:
- Strong programming skills with Kotlin
- Work experience or hobby projects to showcase your skills
- Good understanding of the Android Ecosystem, common Design Patterns and App Architectures, and Jetpack libraries
- Previous experience using some of the common libraries like Retrofit, Glide and/or Dagger/Hilt
- Experience in working with RESTful web services
- Fluency in English
- Good interpersonal and cooperation skills
We consider as an asset:
- Skills with Java, Android build tools and/or iOS development
- Experience with cross-platform mobile development
