Remote management of assets at construction sites

A construction site is a typical example of a heterogeneous asset environment. Tools, machines, vehicles, cranes, pumps, heavy machinery, lifts, surveillance cameras and access control, just to name a few, populate the site. Some of the machines might come with an integrated remote monitoring system, but using the various supplier or asset specific solutions might not be feasible.
In addition to assets, construction sites have several on-going processes that require monitoring: drying cement casting, pumps, people flow, authorization and certification etc. Embedded intelligence can take this even further, enabling local interfaces, embedded algorithms and more.
Retrofitting existing assets and monitoring a mixed pool of machines and processes requires a flexible solution. Distence ORM-data collection devices and our Rhino and dOGMA platforms offer an open and flexible technology to build a solution on.
In addition to Distence’s asset specific solutions, several Distence customers specialize in construction sites. Please contact us for more information.
